Councillor Vacancy for Co-option

Following the close of nominations for the recent local elections, the number of candidates standing for election to the Courtmoor Ward was fewer than the number of seats available. The duly nominated candidates have therefore been elected unopposed.

Fleet Town Council now has a vacancy for the remaining seat on the Courtmoor Ward. This vacancy is to be filled by co-option in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1983.

Applications will be assessed against the Council’s Co-option policy and candidates are required to make a short presentation to the Council on their range of skills, community involvement and how they will be beneficial in their role as Town Councillor.
