Community Awards Winners
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2026 Fleet Town Council’s Annual Meeting on the 10th March. It was a wonderful evening celebrating the people who make our community such a special place to live. We were delighted to present a number of Community Awards:
Dave Harrison received an award for his dedication to the community through his work with the Friends of Basingbourne Park. Volunteers like Dave play a vital role in caring for the spaces we all enjoy.
Kate Cottrell was recognised for selflessly supporting the community through her environmental efforts, including litter picks, Greening Fleet and Fleet Scoop, to name just a few. It is the efforts of people like Kate that make Fleet such a great place to live.
Tate Bateman, Lucy Evans, Jake Faram and Jake Kennedy were rewarded for their active engagement and invaluable contributions to The Views Skatepark Project. Their input helped ensure the project reflects the views of young people in our community.
During the meeting we also asked residents which award categories they would like to see in future. Some great suggestions were shared, and we would love to hear more — please email info@fleet-tc.gov.uk if you have any suggestions for award categories or recipients.
Missed the meeting? The presentation/slides are available to watch on our YouTube.
