About the Awards
In 2026 Fleet Town Council launched its Community Awards to celebrate individuals and groups who go above and beyond for the local community. The winners are nominated by the public and awarded during our Annual Residents’ Meeting in March.

A list of categories with a brief explanation of each can be found below, along with the online nomination form – the closing date for submissions is 16th December 2026.
Community Champion
Recognising an individual or group who has made an outstanding and lasting contribution to strengthening the local community. Through leadership, dedication, and active involvement, they have helped bring people together, supported local initiatives, and created positive change for residents.
Local Hero
Celebrating someone who has gone above and beyond in service to others, often without seeking recognition. Their actions, courage, commitment, or selflessness have had a significant impact on the lives of individuals or the wider community, inspiring those around them.
Acts of Kindness
Honouring individuals or groups whose thoughtful, compassionate actions have made a meaningful difference to others. Whether through small everyday gestures or larger acts of generosity, they have demonstrated exceptional care, empathy, and consideration within the community.
Environmental Champion
Recognising an individual, group, school, or organisation that has shown exceptional commitment to protecting and improving the local environment. Through sustainability initiatives, conservation efforts, environmental education, or community projects, they have helped create a greener and more sustainable future.
