Hart District Council is conducting a district wide Community Governance Review of all towns and parishes within the area. The purpose of the review is to enable the council to consider what, if any, changes are needed to current arrangements.
There is a vacancy on the above Council for the Pondtail Ward due to the
resignation of Councillor Declan James.
Fleet Town Council is tendering for the provision of grounds maintenance services within the Fleet area for the period 1st July 2025 – 30th June 2030, with potential for annual extensions for a further five years.

Some of the most important wildlife sites in the county are protected as Sites of Special Scientific Interest but there are also many other important wildlife sites which also contribute to the ecological network in Hampshire. To safeguard these sites, they are designated as Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINCs).
The woodland at Oakley Park and the heath and woodland areas at Basingbourne Park are both designated SINCs.

Speed Watch aims to remind to drivers of the speed limits by sending small teams of volunteers to work at the side of the road, recording the details of passing vehicles that are speeding.
When a passing vehicle is traveling above a certain speed, the volunteers record its details and pass them onto the police who will get in touch with the vehicle’s Registered Keeper….
For the ninth year in a row, Fleet Town Council hosted a free Christmas Day Lunch for those in Fleet, Elvetham Heath, and Church Crookham who would otherwise have spent the day alone.
The event was once again a great success, with around 70 people – including both guests and volunteers – coming together for a warm and enjoyable Christmas afternoon.
